Chevrolet Aveo burnout video

Despite the common thoughts about the Chevrolet Aveo, it can indeed perform a burnout. Using the e-brake to hold the car still, dumping the clutch at high RPM allows the little squirrel cage to actually put out enough power to roast some rubber. With stock specifications of 108 horsepower and 105 foot pounds of torque generated by the little 1.6 liter inline four cylinder, it's hard to imagine that this car can get down the road let alone roast some serious rubber. The beauty of these little beasts is that they only weigh around 2,500 pounds - allowing them to actually be decent cars for their class if properly modified.

The small 1.6 liter FWD chassis combined with a very low cost makes the Aveo an ideal rally car. Due to the Aveo's inline four cylinder design, turbocharging this little bugger will allow you to bring the power ratings to anywhere between 200 to 400 horsepower at the wheel. That's not bad considering the car only weighs 2,500 pounds soaking wet. Strip the interior, remove the safety equipment, and add a roll cage and you could be easily sitting at just over 2,000 pounds with nearly 400 horsepower. Ah, now the beauty of the Aveo's abilities comes to fruition. Enjoy the following Aveo burnout video! Remember, this one is 100% stock! Imagine what it would be like fully built.
