Porsche GT3 Cup breaks record at Pikes Peak

Pikes Peak is the mecca of all USA based racing. At this track drivers encounter all forms of terrain within it's twelve mile span. Within Pikes Peak International Hill Climb drivers are challenged by 156 turns, a 4,700 foot elevation change from start to finish, and grades averaging seven percent. This is by no means an easy track, one wrong move and you're looking at a high chance of death. Racing Pikes Peak isn't for the weak, amateur, or unprofessional; this is a test of driver's mortality and the will to win. Much more than Nurburgring, Pikes Peak draws a definite line in the sand when it comes to determining a driver's skill. Bring anything less than your A game to Pikes Peak and you won't only fail, you might perish.

Jeff Zwart set out to break a record and average 70 miles per hour throughout the entire run. He accomplished this task and set the new record for two-wheel drive vehicles at an astounding 11:31.095! Using the Porsche GT3 Cup is a wise choice, this car isn't just fast it's incredibly stable. How fast is it? Watch the Porsche GT3 Cup race a Boeing 747 and you'll totally understand the power of the Porsche GT3 Cup.

In the following video, we get a chance to see an excellent documentary of Jeff Zwart's record breaking run. Wildlife, terrain, and more excellent B-roll footage submerses us into the world of this amazing Pikes Peak run. Captured from start to finish, we get to see the rigors and trials that a driver must endure through running the infamous gauntlet of the west. This is by far one of the best videos I've seen in awhile, so grab a bag of popcorn and enjoy.
