'Shelby' AC Cobra crashes into ditch

During a Cars and Coffee exodus, a beautifully crafted AC Cobra bit the curb. Showing off for the spectators, each vehicle left the parking lot with wide open throttle blips, allowing their motors to breathe the power they possess. Then comes the AC Cobra with just a little bit too much throttle and not enough correction. One wrong move, and the sharp handling roadster dug itself right into the curb. When operating vehicles with such a tight suspension, the driver must be careful not to over correct or an instant failure of epic proportions just might occur; and usually it does.

This isn't the first time an AC Cobra, a.k.a. "Shelby" Cobra has been wrecked due to it's instinct to dig into the pavement. Previously, I wrote about a Shelby Cobra that was destroyed by the hands of a newb operator in the rain. Just like the scenario we have here, over correction led to biting the curb. What can we do to stop the over correction? It's simple really, just practice. Take the car out on the track and learn how it handles. Slowly increasing speed as you gain confidence, you'll be able to feel how the car reacts to multiple scenarios and reduce the chances of epic failure. Discuss this article with CarDomain.com

The last thing we want to see is failure with a car as valuable as the AC Cobra. There wasn't many of these made, and there isn't many of them left in original condition. There is a lot of replicas out there, but they don't matter; the real value is in authenticity. Can you imagine the embarrassment and anger this driver was feeling as he just wrecked his most prized possession? The instant the car lost control and took a suicidal nose dive for the curb I'm sure he knew failure was eminent. When you get to that point that you've lost control and you're at the mercy of physics, a sudden calm comes over your brain and time slows down. It's almost like entering the matrix. Heart rate increases, muscle tense up, and then finally a release as the chaos comes to end.
