I have no idea what they're talking about, but I like it! The drifting footage is awesome, and the authentic JDM appeal of this video is too surreal. It's rare that we get a chance to see the roots of drifting, and this vintage Japanese drifting video shows us how all the tire ripping antics began. A long time ago, in a land far away, there was a man who decided to drive sideways. Soon another man saw this first man, and began driving sideways behind him. Before you know it, drifting has morphed from an illegal pass time into a full blown professional sport.
The glory behind drifting is that it's not about getting from point A to point B in the quickest time; it's about style, finesse, and attitude. A more fashionable aspect of motorsports, there is some drama surrounding the act of drifting. Is it a sport, or is it entertainment? That's the big question. My question to that question - isn't a sport entertaining? So really, what's the difference? I think we are splitting hairs. Either way, drifting is here to stay and it will never go away.
