The world of green performance vehicles is by far not up to par with the likes of petroleum based sports cars. However, just as in everything on this planet there is always an equalizer. The Ultimate Aero EV boasts an amazing 230+ mph top speed and over 1,000 horsepower. It can reach it's top speed once, and then still drive under normal conditions for an additional 200 miles. Impressive to say the least, what happened to the Ultimate Aero EV? It took the automotive world be storm a year ago, and then vanished into cyberspace.
Originally released with a 500 horsepower rating and the statement that they were tinkering with hybrid drive of twin motors, one for each axle on the AWD platform. Then finally, they released the power numbers; 1000 horsepower, 800 foot pounds of torque, and 0-60 in just two point five seconds! Astounding specifications for an electronic vehicle, and to top it off they claimed it had a "charge on board" feature that would fully recharge the vehicle within ten minutes of driving. It sounds like the 1000 horsepower EV is the solution for everything good in the world; so what happened to it? The latest we have on this vehicle is below.
