Extreme road rager goes goes "Days of Thunder"

The coin phrased term brought to us by one of the greatest movies of all time, "Days of Thunder" is the perfect proverb for the following clip. In the Czech Republic, two motorists duke it out like Cole Trickle and Rowdy Burns through the straights. Enough is enough, and the passing motorist decides to knock the other one out completely. Sending the unsuspecting off the road, through an embankment, and into the trees luckily no one was hurt. The offending driver received a twelve year sentence in Czech's finest hole, and trust me that is no place you want to be.


I've seen road rage, but this pushes the limits. All jokes aside, these people aren't racing and what happened here was an atrocity. That person could have died just because some joker with a hot head decided to take out his or her angst against the innocent. Some people say street racing is a problem, I say road rage is a bigger issue.


This isn't the first time this has happened, and it's guaranteed not to be the last. This is a perfect reason why I believe all cars should have a crash cage. Sure it's obtrusive, obnoxious, and unluxurious; but it saves lives. There is no feeling safer than a 40mm carbon steel, six point cage surrounding you and your occupants. Airbags can only do so much, but a crash cage is golden! If the automotive industry was a democracy, I'd vote for crash cages in all vehicles. Crash cage for the win!
