Nobuhiro Tajima record breaking Pikes Peak hill climb

Pikes Peak Hill Climb is to America as what Nurburgring is to Europe. Considering elevation and terrain changes, Pikes Peak is by far much more difficult than the high speed psychological thrills of "the ring". Nurburgring is more about maxing out your vehicle, going through some high speed turns, and then surprising the driver with deathly corners. Pikes Peak, or better known as "race to the clouds" climbs almost 5,000 feet within 12 miles and features 156 turns with variable terrain requiring both tarmac and gravel style tires. With Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima behind the wheel of a 912 horsepower Suzuki SX4, it's going to be one wild ride.

Nobuhiro 'Monster' Tajima ,  nicknamed "Monsuta Tajima" is a Suzuki rally and hill climb legend. According to wikipedia, he started racing in 1968 in the "All Japan Dirt Dirt Trial Championship", and then later moved on to WRC in the 1981 Lombard RAC Rally. Then in 1983, he opened up a tuning shop named Monster International. Racing for Suzuki up until 2002, he then retired from rally to focus on hill climb. From the 1992 Pikes Peak Hill Climb entry vehicle twin turbo Suzuki Cultis to the current twin turbo Suzuki SX4 with all-wheel drive, the Monster is still lurking.
