Corvette enthusiasts, meet your worst nightmare -- an ignorant non-flatbed tow truck driver using the "claw" to pick up your beloved icon. The tow truck fail is the meat and potatoes of this story; but let's not forget about how the owner wrecked in the first place.
According to the YouTube description, "Clear, dry road, gentle curve, wide, well-marked lanes, beautiful, mild 50-degree Friday morning -- how do they continue to do it?" As you can see, the night was calm and the roads were perfect. The only excuse for this accident is that the driver is a complete newb and has no idea how to drive a Corvette around corners. I'm guessing he just left it at WOT the whole way through, lost control, and bit the wall. Ouch! If you think that's bad, wait until you see what the tow truck does to this poor car.
The tow truck screws up this Corvette twice: first when he loads it, and second when he tows it away. During the load, he tries multiple times to wedge his claw under the car and lift it up. Each time, the car slides off and grinds its way down by means of shredded plastic and broken dreams. Then finally once the Corvette is loaded, the front end is dragging on the ground. You can literally hear it scrape its way down the road. This is by far the worst thing I've seen on the internet since that fat kid dancing to some techno music! Make it stop! Nooooo!
