STi 'pwns police Corvette

Racing a Subaru Impreza WRX STi against the Trinidad police Corvette shows us just how powerful a properly tuned Subaru can be. Combining the symmetrical all-wheel drive of Subaru with a tuned turbo motor that weighs only a few hundred pounds can result in a winning combination. There isn't many vehicles on the road that can compete with a well built Impreza. Spawned by rally car ideology into the street scene, the Impreza brings the most bang for buck next to the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. These two vehicles are the fastest launching vehicles on the street today!

I love Corvette's and I do agree that there is something about a V8 that gets a special place in my heart. But when push comes to shove and we are talking fastest times, the Subaru Impreza will win. It will take a full drag racing Corvette to beat the STi's launch on the strip. Race that same Corvette on an autocross track and the STi will win again. When Subaru built the Impreza, they used a perfectly balanced setup with ultimate traction and a very high power to weight ratio. These cars will smoke even the most high priced exotics, it's no wonder they are a favorite amongst street racers!
