Honda S2000 crashes during drag race

I'm sad to report today that an amazing Honda S2000 bit the dust during the NSCRA Finals event 2010 at Palm Beach International Raceway! Owner and driver ADTurbo wrecked his eight second Honda S2000 when he got a little too close to the center divider. Losing traction on the right wheel, the left wheel still on the sticky drag strip had so much power that it literally pushed the car to the right. Slamming into the wall in mid fourth gear, one can estimate that this crash occurred well into the 100 mph zone. Luckily no one was hurt, but the car might not live to see the track again.

Do you think the car was totaled out? Looking at the last few shots of this video, you can see there has been some major chassis damage to the S2000. An impact at these speeds is surely going to twist the frame, so even if they do bend it back into shape it will never be perfect again. Even though the car looks to be totaled, it speaks highly of Honda's safety technology that the driver was able to walk away from the accident. For more information, check out Nyce1s.com!
