$12,000,000 Ferrari goes street racing

While watching this classic Ferrari 250 Testarossa being driven on the public roads like they're a race track, only one phrase comes to mind. "Drive it like you stole it", perfectly fits this video record of the rare Ferrari being driven with amazing skill. Speeding like a bullet and passing cars as if they were standing still, this Ferrari owner wins either "dumbest man of the year" or "man who sits on grapefruits" award. I'm stuck whether to praise him for the amazing driving ability our scour at the disrespect shown towards this historical piece of automotive machinery. Which side of the fence do you sit on? One thing is certain, regardless of negative stigmas surrounding abusing a classic vehicle with such malice is that this video is a great example of Ferrari's long tradition of performance. The Ferrari 250 Testarossa was first established during the hot rod era of the 1950's and 1960's. The vehicle's design was very attractive as it was capable. With victories such as Le Mans, Sebring, and Buenos Aires no one dared tempt one of these red devils to a street race. If there were any curves involved, the Ferrari would quickly dismantle your chassis and hand it to you on a silver platter!

A radical design playing on the futuristic fashion of this era, the Ferrari 250 Testarossa was desired by many and owned by few. Out of only 34 originals built from 1956 through 1961, the 250TR was a toy for only the rich. Just to give you an idea of the price tag on an exotic like this, in 2009 an original 250TR sold for $12.1 million dollars! Seeing a video of one of these extremely rare exotics is eye candy for the history books and probably the most rare of all automotive footage on the web today.
