Ride inside of Lexus IS-F at Nurburgring

A modified Lexus IS-F driven by Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi shows us just how the favorite game gets it's roots. Created by someone in the field, the game series brings the ultimate in realism to the virtual platform. The Lexus IS-F he is driving is also modified very heavily for handling and performance. Taking advantage of weight reduction, the interior is stripped and caged. The Gran Turismo logo can be seen on the dash guiding Kazunori through the twists and turns of Nurburgring. Nurburgring is not an easy course, but yet Kazunori makes it appear this way.

Compared to the above Nurburgring runs, this is exceptionally pleasant. Taking the corners quickly regardless of being in a sedan, the Lexus IS-F displays it's true heritage. Designed primarily for the luxury sport sedan market, when stripped out the IS-F handles like an autocross champ. Nimbly taking the corners at speed, the vehicle is perfectly balanced and powered to tackle even the most omniscient corners. If the vehicle can tame Nurburgring, it can surely tame any track in the world. Nurburgring enthusiasts pride themselves on being the most difficult and diverse track in the world. A true driver's test of skill, only the best can survive a quick lap around "The Ring". Enjoy the following footage of a modified Lexus IS-F as it zips around the ring with astounding speed.
